Collect for this Sunday

Eternal God, you exalted Jesus Christ to rule over all things, and have made us instruments of his kingdom: by your Spirit empower us to love the unloved, and to minister to all in need, then at the last bring us to your eternal realm where we may be welcomed into your everlasting joy and may worship and adore you for ever; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever Amen

Notices for this week

Health and Safety Notice- If you feel you may be contagious with cold and flu symptoms, please refrain from attending church activities. All parishioners and encouraged to maintain good hygiene practices and respect others personal space

ALERT! : Car Park Safety! As a community, we need to be mindful of the increase in the number of electric and hybrid vehicles, leading to an increased risk of accidents occurring due to the lack of engine noise. When cars are backing out, drivers should be mindful to check for cross traffic behind them, meaning pedestrians as well as other vehicles. It has been brought to our attention that EV and Hybrid vehicles are silent, and due diligence should be observed by both drivers and pedestrians to avoid any unforeseen accidents

The plan above outlines the next few weeks for the Singing Group and Christmas play rehearsals:
Next meeting for both groups will be Monday, the 17th November, beginning at 2:30pm for the Christmas play cast, followed by the Singing Group at 3:30pm. If you wish to come along a bit earlier to enjoy the cast rehearsals, you are most welcome.
Please keep in mind the areas in blue are overlaps and will mean both groups will be in the church at that time for the planned joint rehearsals

Most importantly, enjoying fellowship together. Please contact Sue on 0416 339 972 if you have any queries or would like to attend”

Unfortunately, our planned service for December will need to be cancelled due to the Christmas Luncheon being on the 7th of December. Our next service at Ningi will be on Sunday, 4th January 2026.  Put the word out, all are welcome, and we hope you can bring a friend too!

EMPTY CHRISTMAS TREE – Since 2013, parishioners of St. Peter’s have generously donated over 1,000 gifts to Anglicare Caboolture for children in foster care in our region. This year, we will again be collecting gifts, which can be wrapped and tagged with the recommended child's age. You are also welcome to give unwrapped gifts. Our focus is on children aged 3 to 17 years. Please only give new gifts; no pre-loved items, as this might be the only present the child receives. Gifts can be left in the marked tub in the narthex. Gifts will be collected in late November.

Please keep in mind : Sunday the 7th of December we have the annual Christmas Luncheon, One Service.
Tickets are on sale for the luncheon in the Narthex

Request for help - Morning Tea - Sunday, December 7th Service:
For the morning tea, prior to the luncheon, we ask people to please bring a plate of food to share

An Update from Tim:  Soon the 34 Destitute Widows will be preparing their small fields for the coming rains. They will need to plant enough corn to feed themselves and the orphans for the next 12 months. That will be their only source of food. Without it they will starve as there is no government assistance. Each of them will need a 5kg bag of seed, and a 50kg bag of fertilizer, cost $125.

“What God the Father considers to be pure and genuine religion is this: to take care of orphans and widows in their suffering …”
 James 1:27

Thank you for your compassion as you show God’s love.

A note from Frankie:
Frankie is compiling next year's cleaning rosters for the church, Cooinda and brass cleaning.   As we now employ a professional cleaner to do the "heavy cleaning" the jobs we cover on our roster are very light, probably take about 30 mins.  It would be lovely if we saw some new faces on these rosters.  If you are able to give 30 minutes every six weeks or so, Frankie would be happy to hear from you.  frankiepark8@gmail.com

Sunday Roster -
There are vacancies in the following duties that are always in need of being filled. Sunday Services, both 7.30am and 9.30am. AV Operators, Welcomers, Sidepersons and Intercessors are needed. Interested persons are asked to contact Margaret Peterson on 07 5497 6978

Name Badges - If you would like a new name badge, there is a list in the narthex. Please print your name clearly on the list. The cost is $12 per badge, which can be paid when you receive your badge using the "return" envelope and placing your payment in the gifting box in the narthex. Badges will be ordered at the beginning of each month when needed

Donations - There is a box of envelopes in the narthex (with a pen) for use by anyone wishing to give money in the giving box for specific reasons e.g. Retiring Collections, payment for attending functions, purchase of items such as calendars, etc. Please, please, write on the envelope what the money is for, your name and the amount.
