Collect for this Sunday

Sustain us, O God, with the power of your love on our journey to meet the One who is coming: strengthen our weak hands, make firm our feeble knees, and open blind eyes to the dawning of your kingdom, so that our hearts may rejoice as we behold the majesty of our God. We ask this through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Notices for this week

Health and Safety Notice- If you feel you may be contagious with cold and flu symptoms, please refrain from attending church activities. All parishioners and encouraged to maintain good hygiene practices and respect others personal space

ALERT! : Car Park Safety! As a community, we need to be mindful of the increase in the number of electric and hybrid vehicles, leading to an increased risk of accidents occurring due to the lack of engine noise. When cars are backing out, drivers should be mindful to check for cross traffic behind them, meaning pedestrians as well as other vehicles. It has been brought to our attention that EV and Hybrid vehicles are silent, and due diligence should be observed by both drivers and pedestrians to avoid any unforeseen accidents

The plan above outlines the next few weeks for the Singing Group and Christmas play rehearsals:
Next meeting for both groups will be Monday, the 17th November, beginning at 2:30pm for the Christmas play cast, followed by the Singing Group at 3:30pm. If you wish to come along a bit earlier to enjoy the cast rehearsals, you are most welcome.
Please keep in mind the areas in blue are overlaps and will mean both groups will be in the church at that time for the planned joint rehearsals

AMUA Next Gathering:
The next meeting will be on Monday, the 22nd of December, unless advised differently

Prayer Quilt: We have received a Prayer Quilt from Greenhills Parish (St James' Kelvin Grove / St John's Enoggera) for Wendy Rollason. Greenhills has kindly passed on to St Peter's for anyone wishing to make a silent prayer and tie a bow or knot in Greg's memory.
The quilt will be in the Narthex for the next week or so before being passed on to Wendy. If you would like to add a prayer, please feel free.
The quilt has been graciously organised by Dianne Le Clercq and Camen from Greenhills Parish

Attention Craft Makers!!: If you are interested in providing any ideas for saleable craft to be included in future Church stalls, please bring a sample of your “craft/idea” to our next meeting. We will tentatively book our “Show and Tell” meeting, to be held on the first Monday of each month at 10am at a “to be advised coffee shop” Our aim is to have an “always ready” stockpile of craft for our next Church Stall or Jumble Sale. Most importantly, enjoying fellowship together. Please contact Sue on 0416 339 972 if you have any queries or would like to attend”

Unfortunately, our planned service for December will need to be cancelled due to the Christmas Luncheon being on the 7th of December. Our next service at Ningi will be on Sunday, 4th January 2026.  Put the word out, all are welcome, and we hope you can bring a friend too!

An Update from Tim:  "The widows and orphans have received the bags of seed and fertilizer so generously donated. These were delivered by Fr Thomas and Marggie using the laden down 29 year old Toyota RAV 4. (Donated by Jean some years ago). Fr Thomas writes from Zimbabwe, "How inspiring and encouraging it was to witness the joy for abundance of their hearts. They shed tears of joy as they prayed for the donors. It was so timely, to God be the glory.
We remain very humble to be the vessel that can be used to bring joy where there is sadness and hope where there is despair.
Thank you very much. May God bless you and all the donors for such a noble cause."
Without this donation, the widows and orphans would have starved next year; they live in the bush, and there is NO social welfare or Government help for anyone in Zimbabwe. I thank you deeply for your kindness. These widows and orphans are all Christians so they are singing their praises to God and praying for the donors!

A note from Frankie:
Frankie is compiling next year's cleaning rosters for the church, Cooinda and brass cleaning.   As we now employ a professional cleaner to do the "heavy cleaning" the jobs we cover on our roster are very light, probably take about 30 mins.  It would be lovely if we saw some new faces on these rosters.  If you are able to give 30 minutes every six weeks or so, Frankie would be happy to hear from you.  frankiepark8@gmail.com

Sunday Roster -
There are vacancies in the following duties that are always in need of being filled. Sunday Services, both 7.30am and 9.30am. AV Operators, Welcomers, Sidepersons and Intercessors are needed. Interested persons are asked to contact Margaret Peterson on 07 5497 6978

The cost is $12 per badge, which can be paid when you receive your badge using the "return" envelope and placing your payment in the gifting box in the narthex. Badges will be ordered at the beginning of each month when needed

Donations - There is a box of envelopes in the narthex (with a pen) for use by anyone wishing to give money in the giving box for specific reasons e.g. Retiring Collections, payment for attending functions, purchase of items such as calendars, etc. Please, please, write on the envelope what the money is for, your name and the amount.
