As always, s
hould you have any pastoral matters that need attending to in his absence, please direct them to the Parish Office. They will be promptly attended to.

A very special notice for this Friday:
I am quite surprised to find that another whole year has gone by and that on the last Friday in October, the 30th, Bill and I will have been married for 73 years. We were married in St. Andrew's Church in Vulture Street at 5.30pm on a Friday afternoon. My mother insisted on this time so that people could come after work. It was a very small wedding; only 29 people attended. Bill's family and mine. We have been fortunate; together we have survived the ups and downs in life, and we give thanks and praise to God.
Anne and Bill Dowd.

We are still looking to fill the last character,
The Third Shepherd

Starring: Betty Hutton, Howard Keel, Louis Calhern

A Message from Sue regarding the St Peter's Stall:
Confirmation has been received that the date for the stall will be on the morning of 14th November 2026
At the Bribie Island Uniting Church (as per above)
As always, baked goods are a good seller. If parishioners could bring them to the Uniting Church on the morning of the fair, marking on the sticker the date of baking, ingredients and price, this would be a big help. As always, you can contact Sue Morbach at: 0416225169 if you have any questions

Craft Makers:
Please keep this date in your calendar as well. All things Christmasy would be nice. Any extra items you wish to create would be lovely.

We are again supporting Anglicare with "The Empty Christmas Tree" this year. If you would like to drop in a gift or two, this would be wonderful. Please add "Boy or Girl" and the suitable age to your gift and drop it in to the office or leave it in the Vestry on Sundays.

As always, these items should NOT be wrapped so Anglicare can confirm they are age appropriate!!

We have been advised that, unfortunately second hand or handmade goods cannot be accepted this year due to department of Child Safety, Policy and Procedures. I understand this is difficult, especially for those who like to pass on handmade items
If you have any questions, please contact Murray in the office

A quick note from the office:
As many will be aware, we are in the process of updating the hot water system in the church kitchen. Due to the age of the hot water system, previous work completed has left us with 2 new gas bottles that were fitted and are now up for sale. If you are interested in 1 or both 9Kg bottles, approximately 2 months old, please drop an email or phone call to the office to discuss
