Now Let’s Change the Ending

EASTER STALL - A Easter Stall will be run on Sunday 2th March following the after the 7:30 am and 9:30 am service The stall will have a Easter theme with Easter goodies and craft available for sale. To make this stall a success we do need keen bakers and craft makers to assist in donating their talents. We would be grateful of any types of cakes, biscuits, slices or confectionary. If each baker could make just one item, it would go towards making the event a success. We are also needing jams, chutneys, pickles and preserves. A list of ingredients will be required for each baked and cooked item. For craft we would love any sewn, knitted, crotched, cross-stitched items, cards, decorations, artwork, woodwork, etc. which would be suitable for Easter gifts. For more information please contact Di Thatcher 0409846471

Parish AGM - The Parish Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 23rd of February. Nominations are called for the positions of Churchwarden, Parish Nominator, 1x Synod Rep and Parish Councillor. These nominations need to be submitted in the box in the narthex by Sunday 16th of February.
Farwell to Joan Norton - by Tim Dufton
We farewelled Joan Norton at the Wednesday service which was well attended by many parishioners.
Joan has been a long standing and very active member of St Peter’s. She will be remembered for many things but primarily as the driving force behind Pastoral Care. If you were unwell or suffering a loss you would be sure to receive a visit from her or at least a phone call. Even if you had left the parish Joan would still visit or phone you.
Joan has been a member of Home Groups and led one herself. These meetings were always interesting and stimulating. She would research the subject and lively discussion ensued on various Christian matters.
One of Joan’s favourite activities was running book clubs of which she had two. She did much else besides, including helping the charity Zimbabwe Challenge. Joan and her daughter Kathrine made the ‘Buy a Pig’ and ‘Buy a Chook’ cards which raised hundreds of dollars for the destitute widows, orphans and lepers in Zimbabwe.
Joan will be missed as she settles in Chinchilla but she has left us an example to follow; as she said in her farewell speech, “Keep on caring for each other; that is what Jesus wants.”

Hope25 is an opportunity for us to share the hope that we have in Jesus. It is an intentional season of sharing hope in Jesus for every parish and community in the Anglican Church of Australia. The dates will be Easter Day (April 20) to Pentecost Sunday (June 8) 2025.
Each parish is invited to prayerfully commit to doing (at least) one new activity to share the hope that we have in Jesus during this season. Every parish is encouraged to form a parish Hope25 team who will receive step by step encouragement via the monthly Hope25 email list.
For more information, see the Hope25 website, where you can sign up for the email list: https://www.hope25.com.au/
