Notices for this week

Health and Safety Notice- If you feel you may be contagious with cold and flu symptoms, please refrain from attending church activities. All parishioners and encouraged to maintain good hygiene practices and respect others personal space

ALERT! : Car Park Safety! As a community we need to be mindful of the increase in the number electric and hybrid vehicles, leading to an increased risk of accidents occurring due to the lack of engine noise. When cars are backing out drivers should be mindful to check for cross traffic behind you, meaning pedestrians as well as other vehicles. It has been brought to our attention that EV and Hybrid vehicles are silent and due diligence should be observed by both drivers and pedestrians to avoid any unforeseen accidents

Singing Group- Signing group is currently on Hiatus for the school break and will return after Easter. We hope to see you all back and full of voice then

AMUA- Next meeting will be Monday the 28th April at 10am however we have a change of venue to the Church. The Intricacies of creating a Church Banner and quilting. Coordinator, Anne Paroz...the Creator of our beautiful AMUA Banner and more. All very welcome for morning tea and an interesting morning.

EASTER CARDS  are now available for $2.00 each in the Narthex. Craft or commercial cards to choose from and share with family and friends.

Quick Message from Di Thatcher - Due to our Patronal Luncheon coming up on Sunday the 6th of July, it has been decided that a Church Stall will be run on the same day. As there will be one combined service on that day, it will be a chance for the entire congregation to check out the stall. It will be situated at the front of the church as was done with the Easter stall so people can browse while having morning tea after the service and before they proceed to Cooinda for the luncheon.

Once again, we will be asking for volunteers to help with set-up, arranging  goodies, selling items, and raffle tickets on the day.

To make the stall a success we do need keen bakers and craft makers to assist in donating their talents. We would be grateful of any types of cakes, biscuits, slices or confectionary. Also Jams, Chutneys, Pickles and preserves. As always a list of ingredients will be required for each baked and cooked item. Craft items could include any sewn, knitted, crotched, cross-stitched items, cards, decorations, artwork, woodwork, etc.

A flood prayer…

Holy God,
who brings order from chaos, and new life after death:
we ask for your blessing on all who have been impacted,
and who continue to be impacted,
by flooding rains in Western Queensland.

For all who grieve
the loss of working dogs, and animal companions.
We pray for them your love.

For all who grieve
the loss of working horses, and beloved ponies.
We pray for them your love.

For all who grieve
the loss of sheep and cattle
whose bloodlines have been refined
by generations of care.
We pray for them your love.

For all who grieve
the damage to homes and workshops,
vehicles, fences, and roads.
We pray for them your love.

For all who are anxious and worried
about feeding the surviving stock
when grass is buried by silt and mud.
We pray for them the support they need.

For all who are anxious and worried
about cleaning and repairing
homes, workplaces, and sheds.
We pray for them the support they need.

For all who are anxious and worried
about clearing, repairing, and replacing
damaged fences, vehicles, and equipment.
We pray for them the support they need.

For all who are anxious and worried
about future loan repayments, school fees,
operating costs, and the unbudgeted invoices
of repair and replacement.
We pray for them the support they need

For all who are anxious and worried
about being under insured or uninsured.
We pray for them the support they need.

For all who are anxious and worried
about the long recovery road that lies ahead.
We pray for them the support they need.

We ask for your blessing and care
on these flood-impacted people and communities
in the name of the Good Shepherd,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Please keep in mind: Boxes need to be returned as soon as possible

As part of our Hope 25 focus on Evangelism, there is a way you can pass on some ‘Hope’ to those outside of our community. You may consider taking up the following offer:

Buy two tickets to Bel Thomson for $30

Keep one ticket for yourself and give the other to someone outside the community. Simply inform the ticket seller that you would like to accept the offer.

We are seeking assistance in selling tickets. If you are able to help please speak to either Leanne Cronk at 7:30 or Murray Doolan at 9:30 services. Tickets are also available for purchase before or after these services

DV Sunday on 4 May 2025 - is a day for our Anglican Churches to raise awareness about domestic and family violence in our faith settings and to hold an annual giving day to raise funds for the prevention and response work of our churches

We are still helping 'the poorest of the poor gain dignity through self-sufficiency'. We support 30 destitute widows and 60 orphans. They live in the rural areas with no running water or electricity. We sponsor a young man doing a degree in Metallurgy at Zimbabwe University, and a student at a private secondary school.

If you feel the Lord calling you to help either by prayer and/or funding, please contact me. Phone 0448 107 401, email -  timdufton@gmail.com
