God of majesty, you led the Messiah through suffering into risen life, and took him up into the glory of heaven: clothe us with the power promised from on high, and send us forth to the ends of the earth as heralds of repentance and witnesses of Jesus Christ, the firstborn from the dead, who lives with you now and always in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.

The next gathering will be on Monday, 25th May 2026, at 10:00 am Eucharist in St. Peter’s, followed by morning tea in Cooinda. The morning will continue with "With Fun With Trivia”. All are welcome.

Our winner of the dinner party raffle.
The raffle raised $1206.00 for general funds, helping to meet our fundraising goal. Thank you to all who contributed, those who offered to donate and cook the meals, those who purchased the extras, and all who purchased and sold tickets. As well as generous donations that have also been given.

Message from Lorelle:
We raised over $660 from our stall at the Uniting Church last Saturday, with more to come from jams and sweets that have since been sold.
Many thanks to the helpers on the day who also bought items from our stall. We had lovely weather, and it was great to see together with our Ecumenical friends, meeting locals we see at these markets twice a year. Over 90% of the money raised came from the local community outside our parish, which is a bonus. This money will go into General Funds to absorb some of our
ever-increasing operating expenses.

To Crafters from Suzie:
Thank you to those who contributed and attended the stall on Saturday, 9th May at the Uniting Church. It was a pleasant morning connecting with the community, other church parishioners and each other. For the remainder of 2026, we are now looking at 2 dates to display and sell our goods. The next stall at St. Peter's will be on our Patronal Day, 5th July 2026.
1) Patronal Day, 5th July - St Peter's, after our 8:30am service.
2) Christmas stall November, held at the Uniting Church.
Please keep in mind, PRICE your goods by what YOU might pay for the item YOURSELF. You know how much goes into the goods and how much time is spent processing.

Birthday Cards
Also, we like to have a stockpile of hand-made birthday cards ready for sending out to our Parishioners monthly. Thank you to those who have already supplied cards and appreciate any card contributions to this ministry. Thank you for your ongoing support in these matters.

Sunday Roster - There are vacancies in the following duties that are always in need of being filled. Sunday Services, both 7.30am and 9.30am. AV Operators, Welcomers, Sidepersons and Intercessors are needed. Interested persons are asked to contact Margaret Peterson on 07 5497 6978
Name Badges - If you would like a new name badge, there is a list in the narthex. Please print your name clearly on the list. The cost is $12 per badge, which can be paid when you receive your badge using the "return" envelope and placing your payment in the gifting box in the narthex. Badges will be ordered at the beginning of each month when needed
Donations - There is a box of envelopes in the narthex (with a pen) for use by anyone wishing to give money in the giving box for specific reasons e.g. Retiring Collections, payment for attending functions, purchase of items such as calendars, etc. Please, please, write on the envelope what the money is for, your name and the amount. This will greatly assist the counters to distribute the funds to the correct account.
